Folk Artist Rebekah L. Smith is coming to Historic Mooresville!
I spend a lot of time looking at the work of various traditional craftspeople and artists. I have always been impressed by the color choice and technique of Folk Artist Rebekah L. Smith, so I am very excited to share that Rebekah will be our special guest for Fall Gathering at Mooresville Mercantile.
On Friday, Sept. 23, she will be teaching a workshop at 1818 Farms. Workshop fee includes instructions, materials and lunch from Albany Bistro. Attendees have their choice of two projects: Wooly Bird Sewing Caddy or Wooly Storage Bag. The workshop is limited to only 14 people, so register soon!
On Saturday, Sept. 24, you’ll have the opportunity to meet Rebekah at Fall Gathering at Mooresville Mercantile, where she will have books and products for sale.
Rebekah is a folk artist working in the areas of painting and wool applique. Her style is inspired by American antiques and decorative arts. She has been selected for the Early American Life Directory of Traditional American Crafts for several years.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity!
